Heating paint

micfil heating paint IX-100

The micfil heating paint IX-100 is an electrically heatable primer available in two varieties (V12 und V24).

It can be heated by applying an electrical current of 12 to 50 Volt (AC/DC). The primer is suitable both for industrial as wellas for domestic applications. IX-100 is based on an aqueous high-purity acrylic resin. The primer adheres to most mineral and polymer surfaces. Electric contact is provided by suitable copper strips (Inno-X-copper strips).

Sheet resistance is controlled via the coating thickness (see the diagrams). The primer can be coated with most solvent-free coatings and can be cured easily. All varieties are suitable for in- and outdoor applications.

IX-100-V12 is designed for use with 12 Volts (AC/DC). A layer thickness of 50 μm equals to a resistance of about 3 Ω square and a power of 80 W/mÇ at 12 Volts. By applying 24 volts the electric power increases to 320 W/mÇ.

IX-100-V24 is designed for use with 24 Volts (AC/ DC). A layer thickness of 50 μm equals to a resistance of about 12 Ω square and a power of 80 W/m² at 24 Volts. By applying 48 volts the electric power increases to 320 W/m².

micfil Heizfarbe IX-230

The micfil heating paint IX-230 is an electrically heatable primer.

It can be heated by applying an electrical current of 230 Volt (AC/DC). The primer is suitable both for industrial as well as for domestic applications. IX-230 is based on an aqueous highpurity acrylic resin.

IX-230 is designed for use with 230 Volts (AC/DC). A layer thickness of 20 μm equals to a resistance of about 1.100 Ω square and a power of 80 W/m² at 230 Volts.

Electrical resistance in relation to coating thickness:

x = coating thickness in µm
y = resistance in Ω
