MAN Cogeneration plant (Palm oil filtration)

For your information! As you know we have been using your micfil Al300 ultra fine filter for palm oil filtration for our 400KVA MAN cogeneration unit for years. I thought you’d want to know my experience.

I had installed the micfil ultra fine filter inserts on 01.08.2016 at 24940 operating hours and changed them on 10.02.2017 at 28473 operating hours. (3533 operating hours)

The engine consumes approx. 95 litres per hour and approx. 40% is pumped via the return line back into the day tank which passes through the filters again. Through the filters were pumped thus approx. 495000 litres.

The lifetime of the injectors has now more than doubled, to almost 8000 hours, and after checking the nozzles we found that they are still absolutely in order.

This saves me a lot of money and lowers my operating costs, as we usually had to change the filters after 4000 hours due to wear.

I think we can use 4000 hours again without any problems. I will keep you up to date.
